Waterjet Cut Grinds!

Hey Jim. I think I will try a couple of thin blades if I get the chance. I have figured out it won't do all blade shapes, but I plan on writing some programs to really test it. If it comes close to doing a good job, I will make an actual fixture for this.

Did another blade today. A 1/8" O-1 bushcrafter with a 4" blade. I ran it on a slower setting. Still haven't made a fixture or wrote a program.

Hey, I like that. Pretty darn clean from the looks of it. However (I know, I'm sorry) how are you going to get radius' (radii?) done at the top of the plunge at the spine? Maybe don't take grind / cut up so close to the spine? Just a question... :)

Eric, I think I can do that. I still haven't wrote a program. With a little practice and a proper fixture, I think it would be a lot better. You can barley feel the waterjet lines on this one.

Just hit the sample with a draw file to define the edges and hit it with some hand sanding. I think you have a winner there David.
