they come with character built in , I have a Friend who shipped me 3 from Brazil and I traded away all except one(kept one for myself) to felow members in the RAT forum at our camp out. Great hats,not fireproof unless you treat them but overall a great hat.

Texastonydobbs, I told my wife she can get me one of those for Christmas. I didn't figure they were completely fireproof but they should shed a stray ember a LOT better than nylon. Glad to hear they are a decent hat.

Go with the cotton Tilley hat. They are almost indestructable.
