Waterproof Hiking shoes

One reason I gave up skiing was the popular change to the "clown look " , bright , multi-color costumes !! I rarely use camo either, when hunting !
We saw a bow hunter all dressed in camo ...with a bright red safety vest ! But he had his deer !!

I have been wearing Goretex lined boots of various makes for over 35yrs.. One bad thing about GT is after time they will leak.. Period.. New they are great but the more use they get not so.. JMO!!! John:)

I can second the suggestion for Merrell; I wear their Jungle crocs for 12hr shifts on my feet with no complaints. They are very supportive of the foot. FOr hiking I have a pair of Danner 452 which is reasonably lightweight but also VERY supportive, although they would loose the weight battle to any shoe.
