Waterproof Rain Boots?

I finally purchased a pair of Lacrosse Hampton rubber boots. They are 6". They fit good and I think they'll work very well for yard work, wandering through wet or frost covered grass, and short hikes in wet conditions. After reading the reviews, I think I won't yank real hard on the straps to pull them one. They really aren't necessary and are pretty comfortable. Don't think they'll be much for wading. More for mud and wet conditions rather than crossing a stream. Lacrosse has discontinued these and going with a lower type shoe/boot called the Muddy. Believe those are 4.5" vs 6".
