no, not that utterly horrible Keven Kostner box office FLOP, but rather a look at how water moves.

Taken with Fuji FinePix S2000 HD, shot on burst mode (50 frames per millisecond), chrome "film".( sorry, its very low megapixel, 10MP)

PICTURE HEAVY, use link to album http://s491.photobucket.com/albums/rr274/Bushman5BFalbum/WaterWorld/ guest password is: bushcraft

I want to wait for night and then take more pics, try to get the car tailights and yellow turn signals thru the water.

Oh, very cool!

I would love to see some shots with a similar setup, taken at a mountain stream. Extra points if you can catch a salmon in mid jump!

These pics made me thirsty.

All the best,

- Mike

how do they turn out on everyones computer? i've seen them on a friends Mac display and they look stunning, but how do they look on regular CRT or LCD monitors?

just wondering...

Below is a screen grab rather than a down/up load so you should get an idea of how they display to me.

Fantastic! All the beautiful pics I see on this forum has rekindled my love of photography. I might just sign up for a digital class soon!

As we all know, the MOON and WATER go together, here is a pic, 15X zoom, Fujinon lens f=5.0-75.0mm 1:3.5-5.4, Manfrotto tripod.

i sat on the front steps tonight, had my briar smoking with a well roasted Virginia and Burley pipe tobacco, a bottle of Fullers HoneyDew ale going. dark night, still , cold air and muted silence, rare for the city. I looked up and stared for about 90 minutes at that moon, lost in thought. We as man/woman, are so very small, an infinite speck of dust in the universe. For that 90 minutes, nothing mattered, not the Illuminati, not the world wars, not the economy, NOTHING. An alley cat walked across the street, arched its back and hissed at a raccoon, a car passed, people walked by, thoughts from my childhood went thru my head, the steady din of the urban scape a distant sound in the background. The psssssht as i opened a bottle of ale, the random crackle of the pipe tobacco as i drew a puff, the smoke wafting into the night.................silence, night, bliss, reflection, introspection, cold, warmth, thoughts, decisions, the moon, the water, the clatter of the shopping cart full of bottles and cans that the homeless guy pushes thru the alley, the red tail lights of the cars passing by. And yet its nothing but a blip in the time curtain of the universe. I know that there will NEVER be another exact moment as the ones i captured today .

i got very lost tonight, almost 2 hours of time, kidnapped by the time bandits.

I have never felt more alive.

tis medicine for me.

Wow. Thanks for the great words, Bushman, and for those of you that took pics. I have been refreshed (hey, a pun!) beyond ability to describe. I used to write prose and poetry and shoot photos. Now I am itching to get back to it!
