Unique large folding hunter from old-time Texas maker Wally Watts. When I ordered this knife from Wally some years back, I started with his Model No. 3 as a pattern and asked him to upsize it to 3.75" blade, 8 5/8" OAL. Consequently, this is one is marked "A 01" on the ricasso, meaning ATS34 steel and the very first knife made in this configuration. I don't know if he ever made another like it.

Lockback with gorgeous amber stag scales. Not one sharp corner or "digging" edge on the whole knife, except the razor-sharp cutting edge. Feels like holding a piece of hardened honey in your hand. Lock-up is rock solid.

This is a beautiful and unique large stag folder, with a very practical design for field use.

Reduced the price $50. The blade when closed rubs just a little on the brass liner, but the lockup is dead solid and the edge is a razor. This is one of the most comfortable big folders I've ever handled, and it has a nice slim profile for easy pocket carry--not one of those bulgy, chunky monsters we've all seen. Just the right size to slip in your hip pocket and carry all day without knowing it's there, but with plenty of size and power for deer. And what a treat to pull it out in front of your buddies just to flash that gorgeous amber stag! Not to mention it's a one-of-a-kind, as far as I know--it's certainly not a catalogue item from Wally. So you don't have to worry about running into another one like it out there. By the way, the dovetailing of the stag into the double bolsters is old school--no liners, and perfect fit. Quite an impressive piece of craftsmanship from a maker who's been at it a long while.

Bottom line: This one is priced right for a user, but is as unique and collectible as they come.

Reduced another $50.

This knife is in as-new condition except for some very light handling marks. I've seen brand new knives from dealers with more "shelf wear" than this knife exhibits. Do yourself a favor and buy this one to carry and use--you'll be delighted.

Now $325 shipped.
