Wave feature easy to use?

More waved nastiness!

The wave's only weakness is that it must be deployed out of a pocket. I've seen people come up with creative ways to wave; the most curious method involves using the fly of your jeans to catch the wave hook. I'm not sure I'd ever want the very pointy tip of my Mini 7B coming anywhere near my bedroom equipment, though. You cannot wave IWB, you cannot wave off a belt, and you probably will not be able to wave out of a pouch unless you use one of EKI's wave-feature holsters.

FWIW, I had a Mini-CQC7A in my shirt pocket recently, pulled it out and - SURPRISE! I probably should not have been surprised, but I certainly (ahem) got the point, at least metaphorically. It was totally unintended.

Hated mine. It kept getting caught on tne rim of my pocket and then it would open inadvertently. I removed the wave feature on my Mini CQC8 and now it is perfect.

Blasphemy!

:p

I've got to differ with Mrpinkbullet's contention that is it may be difficult to wave open an Emerson from a pouch.
I literally do it daily from that gunmate pouch riding horizontally on my belt that I mentioned earlier in this discussion.
I guess you may have to try it to become a believer...
All I can do is tell you IMO there is no better or quicker way to carry and deploy a serious folder.
Try it!

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you can see past any political statements I have been accused of making in my vids.

If I could only carry one knife, it would be an EKI Combat Karambit. I wondered why people paid so much for Emersons until I got mine. It is by far my favorite of the 200+ knives I own.

Heh...they have a habit of doing that. Damned things have spoiled me on every other brand that I own! I wouldn't have it any other way. :D

Yeah, they rock! :D That being said, I just got a handmade fixed karambit from Indonesia that I might carry tonight instead of the Combat Karambit.
