I did some mods on my G-10 FS Crossbill and I am really happy with the results. I figured I would share.

I increased the Boye Dent so the lock must be fully depressed to deactivate the lock, waved it, and narrowed the closed profile of the knife to make it fit the pocket better.

Does the wave reliably/consistantly release from your pants pocket every time when performing the wave function?

As much as any other wave does...you still have to do your part and not withdraw the knife with forward motion. I left the metal on the wave hook a bit edged on the inner portion so it will grab material in the pocket. Works great.

Thanks. I asked because it is such a deep hook that it appeared to have a risk "overcatching" on the pocket lip and pulling the knife right out of your hand.

Looks good.

The tip of the blade shape, when closed, directs the pocket right to the wave. The hook is definitely an authority, but once you get past about 70 degrees of blade opening it releases and the blade has the inertia to open, even with a semi-low energy draw. I did take the knife apart, polish the blade and liners, as well as loosen the pivot screw about 10 degrees more than it came out of the package so it would open quickly. No centering issues or excessive blade play.

I increased the Boyle Dent ...

I believe you mean the "Boye Detent." That's a nice, clean-looking modification.

Great job Charlie Mike'ng that. The Crossbill is a prime example of a knife born to be waved.
