Has Spyderco ever produced colored versions of the waved Endura?

Thanks....Pachucko

Not the endura, but the matriarch/emerson comes in all black /black blade which is cool. You could always do a scale swap and get the color you want.

I carry the emerspydi ever day for work(autobody shop painter) its hard not to love its super quick opening and the back lock is perfect for a thigh close and holster

I have seen it with either black or blue scales but that is it anything else is most likely not the real thing as already posted

Kind of a real dark navy blue. I first thought it was black, until I saw it in real good sunlight.

The dark blue is so dark, that some pics makes it look black. It's a nice color in person.

You could buy a colored endura and put a zip tie in the thumb hole. It works pretty good. I know it's not the same as an actual wave in the blade but it's an option, and looks okay if you get a matching color zip tie.

I own a dark blue one (that, as Wire Edge mentions, is so dark that it sometimes looks black). It is fairly old. I seem to recall it was the first mass produced waved Endura from Spyderco.

Just build one.

That may be what I have. I haven't been able to find any close-up pics though. Hopefully tonight I can view the video referenced in the knock-off thread.

Mine has a barrel bolt mounted clip and the "Emerson Pat. #5.878.500" is engraved on the blade. There is no spider logo on the blade.

Did that, thanks. I also watched several of les_garten's vidoes. Good stuff!!

Anyway, I'm happy to say I'm confident I have a real one. Evidently the color is actually gray, that's what led to my initial confusion. It's certainly very dark, but I found a lot of other commentary comparing it to a dark charcoal gray or navy blue, not like the current light gray models for sure.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned these.... the first was made for USN and the second for Bayoushooter. Good luck finding one! :)

I'm glad yours is real. Was concerned that you were buying one like those on Ali Express.
