On a knife like the Endura the wave works great.
Probably due to the height.
Actually opens easier than the taller Emersons that I own.

All personal preference my friend. I prefer tip down, so my wave is on the chopping block.
If you don't have a waved knife you really need to get one. The wave that Spyderco uses is big enough to work quite well.
It is very fast. I am sure it was originally designed for self defense use, but I use mine when working because it makes one handed opening very easy if you are doing things with your other hand.
