So, a while back I picked up an Endura 4 Glock tool version. Nice Endura, black FRN, CE VG-10 blade, & of course, the Glock tool, which is handy for any semi auto pistol.
I recently got a used blue FRN waved Endura 4. While used, it was in good condition with no blade play. One of the previous owners put a scandi grind on the blade. I used the knife for a while & came to the conclusion that it was a pretty useful grind.
So, looking at the 2 knives, I decided I really liked the idea of the Glock tool, but prefer the waved scandi PE blade. So, I took them apart & swapped blades. Afterwards, I realized that the lock bar needed to be swapped, too, & did that.
That left me with a blue FRN Endura 4 with a CE VG-10 blade, which I traded, & I now have a user waved black FRN Endura 4 with Glock tool & scandi grind.
Obviously, none of this is terribly interesting, but just a not for anyone thinking of swapping a back lock Spyderco blade. I think the best bet is to swap both the blade & lock bar with the respective blade. That'll insure that you won't have any blade play (If there was none to begin with, of course).
