I just got a 4/99 MT Socom tanto M/A. I noticed that the shape of the grip allows easy access to the dual thumbstuds. What I mean by that is there are no "obstructions" in the travel of the thumbstud. I tried placing it in my pocket tip-up and drawing it quickly and I'll be damned - IT WAVED!!!
Seth Thomas was telling me about sending some of his knives to a machinist to have pocket clip holes drilled on the opposite side to facilitate a "reverse wave" pulling to the front instead of the rear. He said it would run around $15 per knife. That got me thinking. I waved the Socom a few more times and now I need to figure out which shop I'm going to take it to
.
I know there are a lot of you that have MT Socoms. Try waving it.
