What model(s) fixed blade knife or knives did Buck produce?

I'd like to get a Buck from the year I arrived.

64 for me a Little easier a famous buck born that year
forgot the model #
Think it started with a 1
Good Luck for your search

It's going to be fun seeing if anyone here has any of these. I'd love to see photos!

There were 4 "catalog" knives, but untold custom knives.

The Personal - similar to today's 118
The Professional - similar to today's 103
The Field and Trench - similar to today's 119
The Fighter - nothing current to compare to but maybe the 651

This info is from the '54 catalog since there is no '55 catalog on BCCIs site.

In '56 we got the 119, 105, 118, 102, and 110 (fixed blade). There is also a "Bone cutting Knife" in the '56 catalog.

Anyone should get the BCCI membership. There's more to these catalogs than just item numbers and there is a ton of great info in the members only section.

All these knives are from the era you inquire. The 110 Skinner is in the center. Courtesy of HK. DM

Here are a few others I found of his. Handles are of lignum vitae. The 1st model on the left later became the 103 Skinner. Good luck on your search. DM

Great David. Are those knives the same all through the mid to late '50s? What is their range?

The lignum handled knives ran from 1951-55. The elk antler models ran from 1956-61. Note the numerous spacers. You can see that several changes occured during these 10 years. Gents you're welcome. DM

Thanks, gents. I really like the leather sheaths Buck made back then. DM

Agreed... I really like the Buck knives, but the current production leather sheaths really don't get me excited. I actually don't like the look at at :D
IMHO the 100 series knives are one of the classiest looking production knives made. The spacers really set the knife off...

I do like the older flap sheaths because the are cool looking, and they remind of early Military 1911 sheaths. It would be nice if they would bring that style back, or even go with a more traditional style sheath...

David, what is the difference between the 110 Skinner you have pictured and the 103 Skinner?
