Way back in 1955 ...

On the early 50's lignum skinner we see a long swedge and just a hint of a rise in about the middle of the blade. Where by 1961 the 110 skinner shows a very small swedge near the point and the hump is now appearing. This hump is a little longer and not as high as I've seen on the 103's of the 1971. So, an evolutionary change in design took place on Buck's skinner during this 20 years. These design changes occurred mostly throughout their fixed blade models during this time frame. DM
 
I found another photo of some of Buck's early knives. These may be from 1959 or 60. Notice, no hump on the 110. This is the only one of the saw I've seen. DM
