Andy-

I just purchased one of your handmade camp knives form DLT Trading, and I can't tell you how stoked I am to be getting one of your handmade knives, it is a 63rd " me to me" B-Day present :-). I watched the video on your website, and was very impressed by your humility, attitude and passion. I was also very impressed by your pride in creating jobs for others. I have had the good fortune of co-founding two companies, and like you, the thing I am most proud of is the number of jobs and opportunities we created. As we say in New England, " Good on Yah! ".

I would also like to compliment Phillip, he has been awesome helping understand your knives, helping with dealers, and patiently answering all my dumb questions. A great guy, and imho, a great ambassador for Fiddleback Forge.

Again, congrats on all that you have created, and I am very grateful to be receiving a genuine Andy Roy Handmade Camp Knife.

Best Regards,

Valued Customer

Now we at the Forge knew this already. Phillip is like a brother to me. You may not know this, but Phillip was a Valued Customer and active forum member before he was hired at the forge. He is the only employee I've ever had that I found this way. His knowledge of our knives comes from a passion for them that pre-dates his employment. Phillip has a fun personality and maybe one of the biggest hearts I've encountered. The look on his face when he knows he has to say no to something a customer asks us to do is quite a sight. I just want y'all to know that Phillip really cares about these knives and our customers. I guess it shows. I was very happy to receive the above e-mail.

I have to agree with you and Andy he is a good guy and seems to be very passionate and very knowledgeable of the knives. And when it comes to dumb questions I'm one of those who ask some really really dumb questions Philip is the best and he's help me out a lot and still is thanks Philip and Andy an everyone at the forge for everything you guys do Chuck

Phil brings customer service to a whole other level. And not a bad guy to drink some beers with either...

Definitely a fun drinking buddy when he is on a roll.

Nicely done Phillip. We appreciate everything you for us!!!!:thumbup:

Stand up people are hard to find these day Andy! Phillip is definitely one to keep around I'd say he deserves a raise and something sharp!

This! I agree completely! I'm so honored to have met him, and be able to call him a friend!

It's always a pleasure interacting with Phillp. You could tell he really cares. He is truly a great ambassador for Fiddleback Forge. I'm proud to call him a friend. Hopefully I can meet him in person some day.:)
Gus

Gus, I met Phillip and the gang this past weekend, and Phillip presented me with my machete at Trackrock. The best part was the look on his face. Allen did the same thing, personally handing me my Huntsman. These guys take such genuine joy and satisfaction in what they do. They are the real deal...

Phillip definitely has a added value to the Fiddleback experience. You name it, he does it all so well whether its putting the finishing touches on a handle, taking pics for sneak peeks & Fiddleback Fridays, or going the extra mile to help out a fellow knife nut. About the only criticism I can think of is his taste in beer....lol
I'll forgive him that one minor flaw since he's a loyal GA Dawgs fanatic. Seriously, he's done me good a many occasions and for that I say "Thanks my friend"

VANCE has helped me in a few different ways on another manufacturer's forum. He's a classy guy. This was prior to his employment at Fiddleback Forge.

I suspect Phill is typical of the whole 'culture' at Fiddleback Forge... you've got yourself a great crew, Andy!

Philip has been super helpful any time I've called or emailed whether it was asking general questions about different models or inventory. Sure, I'd recommend a raise too but you have to give recognition that he loves his job and that gets compensation & reward just by helping people and sharing knowledge. Way to go Phillip!

I'd also like to take a moment and say how much I appreciate getting on his weekly distribution of "The List" ... yeah, no .. There is NO list :D
