I love this knife - the ergos & all are just about perfect.
Unfortunately, it no longer locks up solid -- any pressure on the spine and it folds.
any suggestions on how I can clean out any potential lint in the hidden locking parts?
since it's FRN, it's pinned together, so I can't take it apart to clean it.

thanks!

Fill up your bathroom sink with warm soapy water and scrub away with on old tooth brush. Also, a toothpick can be very helpful in aiding in the removal of lint and what not from the lock cut outs. Rinse with hot water, blow out with compressed air and re-lube if desired. If that doesn't help, I'd give the Spyder crew a call.

^that pretty much. its probably just lint or whatever debris blocking the actual locking from occurring.

There aren't really any hidden locking parts. The lock notch in the blade should be fully visible when the knife is closed and easy to clean with a toothpick or similar. In the half open position you should be able to raise the lockbar clear of the tang and blow it clean using compressed air or a strong stream of hot water. If those fail, then send the knife to Spyderco for evaluation as it may be damaged or simply have worn out.

this is actually what I'm afraid of -- I'll try blowing the notch in the lockbar clean again. Thanks guys!
