Waynorth's Birthday Thread, His SFO's

Happy Day of your Birth, Mr. Waynorth. I want to assure you that the knives that you have helped create will be cherished by many generations to come.
I plan on attending a rendezvous at some point in my life, and look forward to buying you a cold beverage.

I have a TC Barlow in the mail, but here are the four knives in my collection so far.

Cheers Scott

not sure if this was one of the ones from Charlie's runs, but its been modified to my liking definitely :D;)
thanks again for a trip down memory lane!

(Diamond Jack - has a nice ring to it, Jack!! So does One-Blade Jack!!:D)

That knife was an HJ3. It had flawed handles, and I sent it to a young knife mechanic-in-training. The quality of his work proved exceptional. He made the micarta himself out of worn jeans, and his filework is very good!
I wanted to see what kind of jackknife that pattern would be as a one-blade, so he eliminated the punch. It was destined for you, Jack!!:)

I cant recall just how many TC's I have gifted over the years - but I feel that they are something special - gifting such a knife- and also receiving one as well is such an amazing feeling - future generations will without a doubt be hunting for these - I think you know this...
I recall Charlies Words on the Tube with this Knife - along the lines that you the buyer are buying one of the more beautiful Traditionals around.....
I agree totally - unconditionally the 77 Washington Jack is a mind Blowing Stunning piece of Cutlery Art...

Duncan I didn't quote all of your post's but wanted to say your collection just blows me away. I would love to see your whole collection. Fair warning though I am a knife junkie totally addicted and can not be responsible with my reaction to being in the presence of such a great collection of superb knives.

the one farthest left is one of my favorite and has special sentimental value. It was purchased from the very man himself at my first GEC rendezvous! The ebony ancient there is a gift from Charlie and that smooth bone, what a pretty one, also from Charlie! more to come later

Jack I always love to see you 15's great collection.

I wish to say Thank You to ALL who have participated in this celebration of Mr. Calm-Pon-Yuh's vision and tenacity in bringing these Traditional patterns back to our consciousness!!
I know he appreciates how much we enjoy what he enjoys! I believe an example of each one of Charlie's SFO's have been displayed here with the exception of HJ#4 and #5. So I will remedy that!!:D:D The faithful have shown up in droves and I'm certain Mr. Waynorth is Humbled and Bursting at the Seams at the same time!:thumbsup::oops: Charlie is the Most Generous Man I have EVER Met and I for one am PROUD to call him My Friend!
:DHAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND!!!!:D

It came out perfect Charlie, and Paul, I must say I definitely enjoy it more as a single blade! :D:D:D

I was just thinking, if we r to recognize Charlie for all "his" persuading of Queen and GEC to produce his SFO's, how many more pages could we fill with standard run factory production knives that I'm sure were added onto the total run of Charlie's SFO's.

Like my Northfield 85 punch with Stag, or how about the original Radio Knives with Clip (I could be mistaken on that one).
Or all the 77 variants that started as a forum knife. (35 for that matter).
I doubt we'd have the 98 pattern had it not been for Charlie's endeavour to create the largest camp knife.
Thanks Charlie!!!!
