Ways to keep my knivies

Dear all,

I have recently bought quite a number of blades, ranging from folding knivies to fix blades. Length wise varies. Was wondering what are the best ways to store the knivies, away from the children, and most importantly keep them dry, as some blades needs special care.

Was recommended camera hard cases, but was not sure which ones to look for. Any recommendations? I am located in Singapore, if need be I will order the cases in. I have about 20 pieces to store, longest at 12' long. Thank you in advance.

Pelican cases.. they come in varying sizes.. but are waterproof and have pressure valves(not sure what for)..

They are a bit pricey but good.. there are other companies that make the same thing.. I have a Plano one..

Pelican cases are great. I store my folding knives and a few smaller fixed blades in a Sentrysafe lockbox. It's a well made fireproof case that will definitely last a long time. I highly recommend it. I think mine accomodates blades up to eleven inches. There may be larger versions though.

I used to keep most of my EDC rotation in the top drawer of my night stand, but with my son hitting toddler, and growing ever more curious, I had to find a new storage option...

Rather then buy something new, I looked around the house first and I found an old tacklebox I was able to clean up, and with some gorrila glue and cork padding I also had available, it is now home to most of my regular EDC Knives; folders and small fixed blades, something like 40 in all...

I find it works great, and I know tackle boxes come in all shapes and sizes, and have multiple compartments, and typically have small slots too, perfect for any miscellaneous items like extra scres, clips, beads, etc.
(My nicer Knives, larger knives, and pure collection pieces, they are stored elsewhere).

I have a total of 3 Safes now for just my cutting things & then 1 large Safe for my bang-bangs & another for my misc. things & all 5 of them are bolted to the floor & bolted on 2 sides plus my 2 German Shepards watch over them & of course my ADT Alarm System is set when I am not at home ~~ I have nothing you just can pick up & tote as that is just asking someone to ""borrow"" things from you ""permanetly"" & sooner or later that is what is going to happen ~~ poof ** all gone.!
We live & we learn the hard way as I learned many-many years a go.!** Plus anybody that knows me knows that at night I will take care of anything that goe's bump in the night.! lol
Always be prepared for the unexpected ~~~ like they said in Boy Scouts --- above all --""be prepared""..!!**^^
Enough said.

^well said, security is important, especially in todays social and political climate...

Ftr, that is just my edc (rotation) box, knives I most regularily carry... That said, i dont regularily carry "expensive" knives; $100 (the 1 ELMAX Blur that I actually carry pretty regularily, and my premium skylines) is the most any one thing in that box cost, follwed by a buck s30v open season Skinner and a xhp-code4; the most expensive fixed blade is a bk11 necker and fixed s30v Buck Open Season Skinner; most were closer to $50 or less. it also has a bunch of lower end crkt's and Mora's in it as well... Probably about $1000 worth combined, but the box itself isn't in plain sight either.. Just easy and convenient to grab, open and grab what I need (and travel if need be)...

I do also have a decent sized/bolted gun safe in the basement, where the guns stay ('cept for a snub .38 and an AR, both conveniently well hidden), as well as some of my larger fixed blades, plus a smaller bolted safe in the bedroom, where the pricey collectibles stay along with important documents, Knives included (though admittedly at the moment I don't have that many uber fancy knives as I tried to keep my price for any one knife to around $100 limit the past few years, rarely breaking it as there was still plenty good knives to choose from to suit my needs within that price. I do plan on venturing into the $200-500 market starting next year however, which unless i win the lottery will be my max. Now that I have a "full" array of Knives to suit my every "need" and more, I can't personally see myself spending more then $500 on any one knife, but i'm going to start looking at some of my " wants" from here on out since the "needs" are met many times over).
Best believe any knife well over $100+ will br locked up when not in use.

We also have 2 dogs, (a weimeraner who's the "watch dog" and a Ridgeback who's the "guard dog"), who both freely run the roost when we're away, and aren't keen on strangers, (or even most friends when we're not home, as my brother found out one day when he beat us to the house and tried to come in for a beer while he waited, lol).
We also have a multi zoned alarm system for our house, especially convenient with dogs roaming most of the house, we can activate specific rooms where they aren't allowed, (basement, garage, and bedroom), also great for any extended trips or when the dogs are with us.

Lastly it also helps that my wife works 1st shift and I work 3rd, so rarely is someone not at home...

Needless to say, I don't have my Knives, even the grab and go box, "carelessly" just left out in the open where anyone can walk in and just grab it.
