And I'm sorry to admit this was not that long ago...

I was buying my boyfriend a Buck 110, and this was my $8 add-on item to get free shipping. Little did I know how damn cool that 110 would turn out to be, and the rest is history. ^_^

Here's to the little choices that turned out to be big choices! :]

PS: This little guy isn't so bad, actually. For $8 it's a solid spring-assist, it's really heavy, too, which I always actually enjoy for some reason. So no offense, rainbow titanium-coated dragon knife. ^_~

I think it's a gem! Not all treasures have to have monetary value. Save it, and 50 years from now you can tell everyone this was the knife that started it all for you. Besides it looks like my avatar, so I like it.

Dude, Mako109, I think YOU'RE a gem! ^_^ This was so lovely to read, thank you. ♡

Kershaw makes onion knives with rainbow coating, which By the time I considered getting one they were gone.

Oh no Yonose! :/ That sounds really amazing actually. I think the Leek would look absolutely beautiful with rainbow coating personally. ♡ :]

Of all the onions, the only ones I haven’t seen that coating on are the shallot and the blur. The leek, scallion and chive all have had it, but I don’t know if they’re still in production.

Yeah Yonose, I'm trying to look right now actually. I can't seem to find a rainbow Leek, but oh man do I love the orange aluminum handle that they have available.

If the worst knife-buying lesson you ever have to learn only costs you $8.00, you're in good shape.

I just saw this post LOL GoPappy. ^_^ Yeah, and since I read Yonose's post about it my whole view point on its silliness has changed. :] ♡

I have a rainbow Leek. I can post pictures tomorrow (not home to do so now) .

The Chive and Scallion were too small, so I didn't grab them... and I just missed the rainbow Shallot, which I absolutely would have.

They did have a rb shallot? That knife’s versions have always eluded me, like the Damascus blade with black handle. I used to collect leeks, but they are a little small for me, so I gave all away except a dlc coated frame lock version and a d2.
I had at one time the purple, teal, and orange
I saw KW had the stainless plain version on sale for$30 recently.

There was... but I think its numbers were more limited than the other models.
There was also a ZDP189 Shallot. The shallot was a great carry knife (imo) - nice and slim in the pocket. I gave mine (standard and black) to the sons of a long time friend.

my first was a swiss army bought for me by my dad sometime too long ago to think about, its long lone now. but Buck is a great american company, you can never go wrong with one. may i suggest looking at the Buck 117 "mini special" and 118 "personal" both highly rated knives, they cost a couple nickels though
