We are dropping like flies. Now John Powell needs some prayers. Please read.

John,
Prayers, smoke, and most fervent wishes for relief from pain and recovery in short order.

Friends,
I am truly touched by all your good wishes.
The docs will try a 'nerve block' procedure on monday at 3:30. Let's hope it works.

Hang in there JP, were thinking of you and I promise to never snag another one of your pics

JP, my most sincere wishes and prayers for a complete recovery after the procedure.

From someone who has drooled over your khuks in the FAQ, and benefited from the knowledge expressed in your postings.

I'm serious when I say too many carrier landings which are in reality controlled crashes. The G forces the pilot is subjected to are fearsome and they take a toll on the old body -- especially when the body does get old.

JP is another who is now paying a high price for services rendered to country in time of need.

Dear John,

My prayers have gone up and around for you. Get well soon and get back to us.

It is now about 12:30 PM Pacific Time. So John is supposed to go under the knife in another 3 hours and 10 odd minutes. I'm gonna make time about then to say a few hopeful words to "whomever" is up there. I may also mutter a few words about what should happen to a surgeon that oversteps his degree of talent, just in case.

JP, best wishes for a speedy relief, from me here in sunny South Africa. I've got that back thing too, though not from carrier landings, nor probably as serious as in your case. I got mine by being stupid with heavy weights when I was a gangling teenager. Tried to outdo an older boy. Ruptured disc, with accompanying spasms. Also best wishes to Yvsa, for recovery. Haven't heard myself about the concern for Yvsa before now, due to less frequent visits to the forum, but whatever it is, my prayers as well.
