It's very festive here in the shop this week. We have Christmas music piped in via the internet, orders are coming in steadily and we are shipping grinders daily.

Today I started humming along to the music as I assembled machines...

"We are Santa's Elves..Building Santa's Shelves...." :D:D

Snow is in the forecast...it just doesn't get better than this!!

So what are the Elves building for Santa in your Shop?

Unfortunatly I don't think anything from you will be under my tree this year, that's what I get for using Santawishes.com instead of sending it through the mail. Merry Christmas to all!

I'm kinda big for an elf but what the hell! :D
This elf is building a two drawer one shelf bathroom cabinet out of red oak for his Moma!! It's going to have madrone burl panels in the sides. I'd have it finished cept I'm waiting to get a 3/16" beading bit to fancy it up some. :)

Rob...I'm eagerly anticipating that one of those grinders you were building is mine!!! YAY!!!! Merry Christmas to me!!! And thank you Santa's Elf (aka Rob).

Now I'm going to be singing that song all day as well. Oh well, it's a good song.

And of course, though thankful for the opportunity to own one of Rob's fabulous machines, I must remind myself that my ultimate thanks goes to my Lord, Jesus Christ. Praise God for the greatest gift of all!

I'm building a new computer desk rather than buying one for $200. My wifey just showed it to me on the internets and I'm like that's not even $30 in materials  I'll make it when I'm off work.

Working on knives, knives, knives. I love it when I have time off so I can keep my nose on the anvil.

I have been work feverishly to complete my Christmas Gift Exchange Knife. knife is pretty much done and the sheath is about done also. Will probably ship it out Thursday AM.

Well I am trying to get my Christmas Exchange Knife finished, but I took off th whole week between Christmas and New Years thinking I could get some knife work done that I have been wanting to. Now my wife tells me she thinks we need to go on some trip somewhere. She does not even have a spot she really wants to go, just wants to go. Oh, well maybe I will get some personal shop time one of these days.

Well, last night I was working on my sister's birthday present (for today). However, after a fateful decision to "heat color" the purpleheart handle scales, I also remembered, or rather was reminded, what happens to epoxy when it reaches certain temperatures. So I had to press the pins out and remove the scales. Luckily, I can salvage them, just will be late for the present.

Also, my HT oven kanthal coil shorted out yesterday just as I was preparing to heat treat a Christmas knife order. I should be able to repair and HT tonight.

On a happy note, my KMG shipped today!!! Should be here MONDAY! Christmas early on the llano estacado of West Texas.
