Congratulations to both of you.

Who reads Shakespeare?
Next can the questions relate to something that is more common knowledge ... like the Toldeo War?

Here are my answers, congrats to the winners but I am sticking to my guns....

1. William Shakespeare
2. Derived from the nickname for William which is Bill a “bill” can be referred to as a Check
3. Last Name Shake = Wiggle Speare= Dagger “wiggledagger”
4. The play is Henry V The speech is St. Crispin’s Day
5. Line 7 has the highest number of original words .....I thought it was line 11 but the word “THAT” is not in the original therefore line 7 has 9 original words whereas Line 11 has only 8
6. Line 5 is what I have to stick with as I see it as being the most different

Due to my inability to handle my liquor, turns out we have two winners!!! Uytog and Will York!!! Hopefully that will be all.... I'll let you know when i'm sober!:D

Congrats on your new Basic 4 LE!!!

Ooops. :) Is that second B4 being taken out of your paycheck? :D

I tried to match up the poem with the actual lines. I think that there were 2 lines that didn't seem to match up for me (referencing the speech from here: http://www.aginc.net/battle/)

line 1
This story shall the good man teach his son; (original)
This story shall the good HOG teach his young piglet; (Check Wiggledagger's)

line 2
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
And all future HOGs will hear of this tale.

line 3
From this day to the ending of the world,
For from this day to the ending of the world

line 4
(no line seems to match up)
The 12/11 Trough Raiders shall be revered

line 5
(again, no line seems to match up)
With buckets of beer and towels full of tears.

line 6
But we in it shall be remembered-
For those who charge the trough shall be remembered-

line 7
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
We few, we happy few, we band of bacon brothers;

line 8
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
For those HOGs, this month, who rush the trough

line 9
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
Shall be my brothers in HOGDOM!!! ,

line 10
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
And all HOGs in future trough raids

line 11
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
Shall think themselves accursed that they were not here,

line 12
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
And bow their heads in envy whilest any speaks

line 13
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
Who rushed the trough upon this December day!!!!

Congrats to Will and uyotg!!

and to Pokey for her drunken judging, in the finest Busse tradition.

Besides the obvious egg nog issues, it seems that there are multiple version of the original verse, causing some confusion among the piglets.

To paraphrase the Boss, if it doesn't make sense to you, then...

"Let's Drink!"

Congrats guys

I have to admit, after I read the first line of the poem, I gave up. Damn poetry :o

Congrats to the winners, fun contest but I don't think I could have ever guessed those answers. I read the email and gave up after about 15 min!

At least I got the first 4 answers right,,, congrats to the winners and cheers to the Busse Team for this great GAW !!!
