Congratulations to everyone on a job well done. I was, at first, glad that I wasn’t the judge of this contest . .. . .but after trying to get the Busse Combat girls to decide on a winner I can see now that the guys should’ve been in charge of this one. Your words of love and passion have made the girls swoon. Shame on you. In their “swooning” condition they were unable to come up with a clear-cut winner. . . .In fact they couldn’t even narrow it down to two contestants. . . . So here we stand with a 4-way tie! Yes, a 4-way tie. The several girls who were in on the voting could only narrow it down to 4. It had been a 6-way tie but luckily hours of deliberation eliminated two of the final six and brought us down to the final four. In the name of expeditiousness I have decided to use the old “guess a number game” in order to determine the final winner.

So, here they are in no particular order:

Michael Bennet
Wulf
Climber
Javahead

Please pick a number between 1 and 50. (I was able to get the ladies to agree on ONE number) Whoever comes the closest will win the Basic #3. Please post your number on this thread.

Yours in nuclear good luck,

Jerry Busse

3 (as in Busse Basic...)

Thanks Jerry and crew for the contest!

Climber, Javahead, , ,Where are you cats?

This isn't poker . . . show your hand. . . .

Yours in nuclear stalling,

Too many evening meetings... Can't think this late; head hurts...must endure one last challenge...
O Jerry!

The first post gave the rules: The whole Busse crew will decide.
Then the rules changed: The women will decide.
Then you recapped at the end with: ...”I can see now that the guys should’ve been in charge of this one.” Hmmm...
Doing a little research, I found your contest thread last year, read thru it, & the rules got changed on that one, too.
O, Beloved Consistency! Where Art Thou this Valentine’s?

{Naturally, all this fueled my passion & zeal once again, & out burst this thot:
Ah, women...
Swayed by every silly, smooth word,
Making their vision fogged & blurred;
Now down to the Same:
Random Number Game-
Should’ve called upon the men, after this occurred!
Sorry, I just had to...

}
At first, we were testing our “mettle,” & now, armed with but a knife, it’s down to "a blind knife" throw at a numbered board...
Well, here goes my toss, {ya better duck, I’m no good at this!}

Number 16; {That's the four finalists squared out of respect; also "bout half" between Wulf & Michael to give'm "winning space"

}
{What’d I hit...?}
Truly: With ALL DUE RESPECT, THANKS, BUSSE Crew, for the contest,
I enjoyed the poetic posts immensely!
Well done Michael Bennett, Wulf, Javahed, & the rest, too!
And THANK YOU, especially, ladies,
for your enthusiasm to “try” picking a winner in this VERY DIFFICULT contest.

So

The number for me?
Ahh, between one and fif-ty.

3, 16, 31
taken already I see,
Oh what fun.

I must pick a number,
(and now it must rhyme)
Oh please be patient,
and give me some time.

Ah screw it, the little voice in my head says 27.
Logic was never my strong point

Of course, if it is indeed a four way tie, sounds like 4 knives need to be sent out

Just wishfull thinking for all 4 of us.

Do U really have 181 Busse knives...?
I mean: ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY ONE???????????
Don't you think Javahed's request of four knives for 4 "po'boys" is not too out-of-line if you're sittin' on nearly TWO HUNDRED Bussi...? {i 4 1 think Busse plural is Bussi}
How many "personal relationships" with knives can U have...? Doesn't that constitute a Harem, Jerry?
