Question for WE Knife 605 owners.
It's hard to tell from online photos. The finish looks different in every photo. Is the black DLC coating on the blade tumbled/stonewashed like a blackwash, matte and even or shiny and even like painted surfaces?

Does the DLC finish vary between knives with The coating on the flats and bevels or are they the same?

The black is anodizing not stone wash. they have a few different options with anodizing on flats vs bevels and vise versa.
 
I've never heard of anodized S35VN blade steel (or any blade steel for that matter). According to online vendors it's a two tone finish whatever that means. The handle is anodized titanium. My question is about the black finish on the blade that I assume is some kind of DLC or PVD like coating. Is the coating perfectly smooth (either shiny or matte) like a painted surface or is it tumbled?

This closeup below from a photo on the WE website shows a slightly speckled or tumbled/stonewash black finish on the 605. Is this accurate? I'm not a fan of smooth black coatings that look like paint on blades.

Agree that's what it looks like in some photos. Just want to make sure before pulling the trigger and placing an order.
