This is the Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades Forum. Some of you have posted some GREAT pics of some beautiful slipjoints. We need more. It seems that people still don't know what this forum about. Maybe pics would help clear this up a bit. You can post them on this thread or post a new thread with your best and favorite traditional knives. I have a scanner but still don't know how to post pics on the net. Please post pics if you can. I know there are some custom traditional knife makers with great stuff to look at and sell. I know this is not a sales forum but show the pics here and start the feeding frenzeeeee. Besides, I sure do like to see purty knives and I'm sure others do too. Also show us your best and favorite traditional fixed blades.

Thanks Dean

This picture came from the Moore Maker site, but it is of a 5200 Trapper and I do own one of these. It has been a very good knife. It did need a sharpening when I got it, but that is OK. I enjoyed sharpening it.

I'm hoping that Gus and Nifrand post some pics of their collections. They have some beeeyoutiful stuff!

Well here is a Cripple Creek 5 blade Gunboat Canoe. I love the Cripple Creek knives. The scanned image ain't all that good but I am sure that you get the idea.

Gus will work on some to get up here. He was thinking that you folks were sick of his pics and wanted to give others a chance.

I love seeing pics from Gus' collection. Some things I never new existed. I can't seem to get my scans small enough. I may have to actually read the instructions.........

Gus, you got to many cool things to not show them off. Nobody gets tired of your pics.

I'll toss in a couple of more common new production factory knives.

A couple of fixed blades that I think fall under the traditional catagory. If not let me know and I will remove them.

What software are you using? Somewhere in the 'tools' or similar menu there should be a re-size option.

If you got one you really want to show and still cant figure out how to shrink it, email it to me....I will shrink it and send it back to you.

Very nice Cargill and Cripple Creeks mckgreg From reading Levine's Guide I understand those are some of the rarer ones to collect. I've bought a few stag Cripple Creek club knives recently and they're excellent.

What's the etch on them?

Thanks for posting.

Mike

Glad to hear that you enjoy them Mike. The Gunboat is the Cripple Creek 10th anniversary knife. 1981 to 1991. The Gunstock is an American Edge Collectors Assoc. Club knife. If you decide to go into the history of Cripple Creek and Bob Cargill, I am sure that you will find the knives even more enjoyable. Pearl Cripple Creek knives only account for about 2 percent of the total knives that Bob Cargill made.

Richard,
Thanks for the offer. I am using Adobe photo deluxe 3.0.
I found the resize and I am going to try to attach one. It's not fancy, but very old. It belonged to my great grandfather I was told.
It has been through my grandfather, and father too.

Semi-new stuff. All Case Classics all less than 6 made. 1991-1994.
That top right one is coral. The rest are pearls and abalone.
