We say YES on the Spyderco Native when Wal-Mart says NO

Wal-Mart is phasing out their best knife deal. You can't get the Spyderco Native online at walmart.com any more and from reports on this BF thread it is fast disappearing from the few Wal-Mart stores that carried it. Some BF members are none too happy.

But when Wal-Mart says NO, we at Defense Knife and Tool want to bring the smile back to your face.

So here's what we'll do. We created an online coupon for 5% off our already low price on the Native. For the next month (as stocks last) order the Native online here and MAKE SURE to enter the word "native" (without quotes) in the coupon field in the lower left hand side of the single checkout page and hit the apply button on the left. You'll get a Native for just $43.30.

For best value in Shipping Options under Address Information on our checkout page use USPS Priority No Insurance. We charge $6.10 for orders weighing less than 1lb to any US destination, including Hawaii, Alaska and Military APO, FPO.

Yes, it's true that $43.30 is $3 and change more than Wal-Mart's old price of $39.98, if you can still find one at that price. But your extra $3 will be going to a knife store that cares about knives, supports Blade Forums and most importantly cares about you.

Thanks! Let's hop on it, guys!

I have a question: I've read up on the FAQ/About Us on your site, and it says that your warehouse is in San Diego, CA. I reside in CA, and to my ZIP code, shipping is estimated to be a little over $11. I tested a ZIP code to VA, and the shipment to CA (which would be in-state) is only $3 less. Is this correct?

Also, as you are a NJ store, would purchases made from CA residents be charged sales tax? I read the part in the FAQ about it, but it remains unclear to me.

I look forward to doing business with you, thanks.

In Shipping Options under Address Information on our checkout page use USPS Priority No Insurance. We charge $6.10 for shipment of all orders less than 1 lb in weight across the US, including Hawaii, Alaska and military mail to APO, FPO. In most of Southern CA, if you order early enough (before 11 AM PDT) you'll usually get your order the next day. I edited the first post to make this more obvious. Thanks.

You pay no sales tax unless you are ordering to a NJ shipping address.
