There was alot of talk about how to handle the heat. I ride a motorcycle and it gets sometimes just too hot with all the gear. There is a company that been making this sort of a cooler. Some of the guys that used it when racing said it realy helps alot to stay cool.

Just might be that some of you might find use for it when hiking or if any of you also ride motorcycles.

Wow, that is a very cool concept. I wonder how well it works in humid environments. I am often in areas of 80-90% humidity, so I wonder if it would be rendered null and void like those misting coolers. Six Six One makes some nice stuff, so it might be worth a try. Someone buy one and let us all know how it works out. :)

i had something similiar while riding MX but in 90 degree weather you was lucky if it lasted 20-30 minutes but who knows technology has come a ways since i toss mine in the trash, era 2003,don't remmeber the brand but it was not worth the cash then , just my 2cents !

I was looking at a lighter weight cooler, the Chilly Pad. Obviously not in the same class, but more convenient, for comfort more than safety under significant heat stress.

One of the guys that does racing said it worked realy great for him for the all day. Most of the race tracks in SO CALI are in the desert section so it can get realy bad out there. After the races he took it off and said it felt as if someone turned the heat up. Another guy borrowed it for a race. Said its the best gear to have. Staying cool with full gear on can make you or break you. Keeps your neck and shoulders cool. I didnt try it on but from what everyone else says i just might buy one too.
