A Delica in M390? Nice grab. I recently picked a Delica SG2 and I'm really starting to love Spyderco knives in general.

New to me world of knives opened up to me.

Good forum with lots of experienced members. I'll lurk around a while before diving in.

In my humble opinion, this forum should be about more than personal entertainment, it should also be a place to provide guidance to those who are new to this "hobby", even if that means exerting a bit more patience and understanding. After all, how would we want to be treated if we were new here? In the end, we can teach newbies a lot more with patience and understanding than with insults and criticism.

Of course, if you've been here a while then you better have thick skin, because you're fair game ;).

I'm new here. Been studying knives off-and-on for the last 7 years. I'm of course admirer of engineering, metals, art, man's ingenuity, and of course weaponry. I'm not the greatest hobbyist, but I do love the beauty (seen and unseen) of a well made knife. I figured I'd try to interact, and figured I'd introduce myself.

Hi newbie here from Toulouse, south of France.

I'm just starting out on knife collecting, and so far interested by practical EDC knives, plus the odd one for bushcraft.

Collection so far:
Spyderco Delica
Buck 119
Kershaw Atmos
Laguiole (Chinese knock off)
Opinel no.7
Ken Onions Shenanigan
Gerber Bear Grylls paracord knife
CRKT CEO
Gransfors Bruk Scandinavian forest axe
And a special custom knife on the way...

Some good ones in that list. Plenty to choose from in those two genres.
 
Thanks. I have my eye on a Buck 112 Ranger - I like the classic knives, but am keeping the spending to a reasonable level (at least for now). I also would like a ZT 0801, but that's out of reach, at least for now.
 
I also have given some good knives to family members:
My wife has a RAT2, one daughter a Delica, and the other a SAK and a Mora Companion with firesteel in the handle.

I'm new to the forum and fairly new into knife collecting. The Buck Ranger is a great knife. I just added the newer Ranger Pro (nickel bolsters G10 handle S30V steel ) and couldn't be happier. I liked it so much I ordered a custom direct from the factory.
