let's talk d2...Dr. Larrin has written a couple articles on it. for those of ya who don't know the good doc...hes a PhD in metallurgy. he runs a good site filled to the brim with facts and information, based on science and industry measurements, not opinions. How do we feel about D2 steel?
In for a 105 and a 119![]()
I like your styleMe too... if for nothing else, just to add a couple more variants to my accumilation of my 2 favorite knife models.
Never mind...just saw that it’s Dymalux....Is it real cocobolo? Or a laminate??
yep. not following their statement there, unless I'm missing something......View attachment 1567857
What?
*Paging the Buck marketing department* 420hc is waaaay tougher than D2. Like magnitudes so.
yep. not following their statement there, unless I'm missing something......
maybe Paul's super heat treat process makes their d2 that much better and I just didn't know it?I blame the new guy.![]()
yeah its fine for a knife and works fine. I have lots of knives in it and quite a few Bucks. there are no bad steels.....every steel has its place.I've been carrying my SK Blades 212 in d2 lately.
I really like the edge performance of this knife.
I'm going to have to take a closer look at these.
Folks talk about how tough d2 is or isn't.
I like my knife to actually cut stuff.
This does.
