Web Exclusive: Heritage Series Knives - Cocobolo Handles with D2 Steel

I like my 212 micarta in D2 so I picked up one of the 105s and it’s unacceptable , I have factory blemishes that you can’t see a blemish on them, but this should have been scrapped, it looks like it was held right in the middle of the blade when sharpening and removed so much blade it has a low spot, and the grind on one side is higher than any Buck I ever got and the other side is twice as high as it WTF!!!
Also come in a S30v box, are they screwing with me.
I got a nice handle that needs a blade.

man that's disappointing. send it back. ask them to send ya a paid return ship label. sure they got a better one they can send ya.

Well that bites.
I've a few in my cart, but have been awaiting the inspiration to do something about it.

I cannot help but wonder if Buck has a problem with exclusives. lol
First it was Sk Blades. Then it was Copper and Clad...
And Buck blamed them for excessive returns.
So they stopped doing exclusives for them..... for various reasons.
Hmmm.
Now it's all Buck.

I cannot help but find some degree of humor in this.

I would honestly like to know if they have some new guys in there doing the finishing work on their knives. Something just seems super off lately (besides the obvious departures/changes).

could be labor issues...everyone else has them in every industry. bringing in new folks and getting up to speed maybe..or are understaffed and folks are running ragged trying to keep up.......who knows....

I was thinking of grabbing a 119 just cause as a collector of different steels...kinda wanted to see someone get one first and see a less marketing type pic of it...

course I got plenty of 119s and plenty of other Bucks in d2.......last thing I need is another knife.....😄

It will interesting to see what I get, I ordered a 105 and 119 heritage knives and USPS tracks shows it will be here tomorrow. The Red Phenolic 119 from C&C and the 119 Custom Shop knife I've recieved in the last couple of days had no workmanship issues.

I agree, profits rule the day. Customer service has dropped off. Strange grinds showing up on more knives than normal. Jeff Hubbard hasn’t been here in awhile.

My own two bits: my bitch on here about the hundreds of knives sold sideways to an eBay member really pissed off a couple people at Buck. I’ve been banned from communicating with them over it. Even though I reinstated their own policy. I’ve always supported Buck, always. But now I will only support the good. I would like to hear from Jeff H. I have some freaking doozy Buck BS I’ve never shared with anyone. But for BUCK to act the way they are towards a used to be #1 fan, I’m just about ready to stir the pot.

End of Rant. 👍

Yea... I gotta admit I've been a bit of a Buck fanboy, but since taking the blinders off, more and more negative things have started to stand out to me. The whole situation between you and Buck (what I know of it) made me sick.

I'd hate to see Buck go the way of Schrade, but honestly I believe it's looking that way. It hurts to type that and I'd love to be completely wrong.

I hope Buck continues to expand. Doesn't let quality slip. Interacts with customers positively.

Back to Buck legacy.
100 series. Can't live on Cocobola and Phenolic forever. Any new steel or handle material will generate sales.
I like D2 and think it works on the 100 series

Tracking says that mine are available at the warehouse two hours away and should be here today but based on my last delivery, I'll be shocked if they appear on my doorstep within the next 7 - 10 days.

Looking forward to pics from those that receive theirs today. 😁
