Web site revamp what you think

The site is great and I am glad to see the spelling has improved :thumbup:, it makes you come across as more professional now.

can you see the whole red white and blue theme :D. some times i just get caught up in knife making and forget that i need to work on my sight.

J, I like the simplicity of it.

But I'd also like to give few pointers which might come handy if you want to improve it a little more visually.

First of all - never, never, and I mean never use the default font (kind of first rule of web design, it just looks so 90's). To me this is the easiest thing to change and gives probably the biggest improvement. Just add

body { font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; }

to your stylesheet and you've got it already much better.

Second thing. I'd like to suggest to look over your color schema. Your current is OK, but it looks little too dark, maybe even little depressive, and readability is not that particularly good - dark text on darkish background. I usually use color schema chooser from here: http://www.siteprocentral.com/html_color_code.html. Usually the best looking schemas are complimentary and monochromatic. Basically it chooses colors that 'go together'. You pick color you like, and it picks others that are good to go with that.

JT, site is much better, I agree with another poster that lighting it up would make it even better. Hard for an old man like me to read black on olive, Good to see that you are using your spell checker, it does add to the improvement and professionalism of the whole site.
Just my .02
BTW, the blades look great!

JT, I personally like the color scheme. Most of your knives seem to be either hunting or military in nature, so olive is a good choice - I think, anyway.

My one comment is related to your list of links. Are the knives such as "pops knife", or the "Xmas knife," available for sale? Given the descriptions on their respective pages, I can't help but think that a gallery might be more appropriate for your previous work that you wish to showcase. Then, you could have a page for your knives like the 2nd Amendment that you wish to take orders for. As you add other designs to your list, they could be on the production page - or, what ever you choose to call it. That would make your sight very professional.

Overall, it's a great improvement.

Take care,
Brook

Oh, I forgot to add:

Your knives look great, especially the 2nd Amendment. I'm a big fan of cord wrapped tacticals.
