Web Special 110 Rosewood

Mine arrived today. Right about the time I lost my job in 2010, I was seriously considering buying one from BP, but I couldn't justify the expense at the time. After I got a new job in 2011 and got my finances back in order, they had disappeared from BP and I thought I was out of luck. Last week I decided to see what the talk was about with the thread on web specials, and hit paydirt. And only half the price I would have paid if I had bought it from BP. The wait was worth it.

My wife asked me what I want for Father's Day, and I told her I already took care of it:)

Glad youn got one lambertiana, sometimes i wonder why prices need to be that high,i'm sure they still made a profit of some kind off the web specials, here in Canada they sell the cabelas alaskan guide knives at cabelas,i was interested in a 113 skinner for my nephews confirmation, but they want $179.99 PLUS TAX AND SHIPPING,thats a bit too much for me on that knife.

I had two of these show up yesterday. On both of them, the tang stamp for '154cpm' and the bos logo are upside down. Everyone else's is the same I assume.

I have another that I bought from BP about 2 years ago where the stamp is right side up, but most of the 154cpm part is hidden under the bolster. Hmmmm....

I like this BOS tip down much better. Cleaner looking, easier to read. Now if the year mark on the tang was a tad larger. Old eyes and all..

My two new ones are exactly as pictured with the tip-down etch. My old one is also exactly the same as the factory blem, except I don't have 'FB' on the blade anywhere.

I soooo wanted one but with the shipping nthey charge to Canada,it isn't something i can buy.Sweet knife just the same!

Even with the $30 shipping to Canada, they still come in as less than they cost through BassPro. Unless FedEx tries to screw you with their $40 'brokerage fee', which has happened to me twice. :grumpy:
