I'm looking at building a new website and getting my own domain name. Any suggestions? I would like to have email address or POP capabilities. Prefer one that uses Front Page so that my kids can help me and make this also an educational experience for them.

Any suggestions?????

i have tryed many hosts and after much research i found that
www.hostmonster.com is one of the best. unlimited emails. i use front page for my site. i onley payed 5 bucks a month becuse i payed for 2 years. i got 300 GB of space with 300,000 GB monthley bandwith. been very happy with them. thay include the domain name. another cool feature is remote disk. its a desk top icon that you just click and it openes up your site like a folder where you can drag and drop your site updates and delete old stuff. :D

try Ouraynet.com, tell Kevin that Page sent you. I have been using them for 9 years I think. My brother-in - law started it, now Kevin owns it. I gave one of my websites to the organization I was chapter president of when I stepped down, that was hosted on Ouraynet. They shopped around and decided to keep it at Ouraynet.

I'll also recommend Atlanta Virtual. I used Front Page to build my site, and its a snap making changes to the site.

AV has several pricing options. Good company and Alex is a top notch guy.

I've tried several over the years, and I am infinately pleased with my current host at hostgator.com. Their control panel has lots of extras and their e-mail is POP or IMAP compatible. I like using the IMAP because I can access all of my emails from any web-connected computer.

So will your domain be Love_it_or_Leavitt.com? :D Sorry...that was bad...

I host a few small businesses along with my Sites. Been very dependable for 4 years. Only charge knifemakers $5.00 a month yearly. PM me if interested.
Willing to help if you need it.

I just went to Yahoo, low cost registration and $12.00/month for the site. Very good tools to design, publish and update site. Very easy to work with.

I went with host monster, would've used you Oldwolf but too late, sorry. I was kinda concerned about having to learn html or buy frontpage but found Pagewizard on the toolbar. This is mainly a family thing since my kids want to help but not get dirty and they want to be "computer people" when they get older. This will let them see how aggravating computers can be. LOL

Thanks for all the info guys.

Hi Will. Best of luck. If you get tired of front page, we use Dreamweaver. The tools are much stronger and it's very easy to use. This is my family business as well.

I've been using Godaddy.com for years now (long before they started superbowl advertisements) and theyv'e always treated me well, have given good service, and been very reliable in their uptime.
