A cousin of mine is getting married end of this summer.
I am playing with the idea to make his future wife and him a knife to cut the wedding cake and be a functional kitchen knife in the every day life afterwards.
I´ve made a kitchen knife for myself that is close to being finished.
The edge is app. 6" Would a knife like this make a good cake knife?
I think the low point will make it go in the cake well and make a usuable kitchen knife.
I am also thinking about a black/white handle to represend the groom/bride.
Hidden tang with two blocks?
Rounded brass spacers representing wedding rings?
What do you guys think of that?
