Just wondering about the SHSHII over on the sale forum listed as the "wedding knife" when it looks like the original wedding knife is a 1/300 SHBM???
Anyone have ideas or thoughts??

That's how it was listed on the 'Bay. Apparently, it is "unsharpened"...at least not fully sharpened. It was created for use as a wedding cake knife. I vaguely remember the listing as it was a few years ago. Ask the Seller, he probably remembers more from the auction listing.

I've fondled that SHSH Wedding knife before, it is Beef sharp, so........unsharpened

Sorry, man... I think I chimed in about the wrong knife. I was talking about the SHSHII with the pearlite handles that Jerry ground for a wedding gift. Like I said, I vaguely remember the listing, but pretty sure the Seller had stated that although it looked like it had an edge, all that it would really cut was cake (it was purposefully ground like this, IIRC). Wrong knife, or am I remembering it incorrectly?

Saw the pearl handled one awhile ago and it is a cool knife. Really cant remember if it was sharp or not. Dirk and Mirk had me drinking so I dont remember much about it.

I can update this thread. I am now married

My wife and I tied the knot on the 3rd October 2012. It was an interesting story. I'm happy to tell it if anyone's interested. There was no traditional cake so I didn't end up need that special Busse. I wouldn't have been able to use one even if there was a cake. Thanks for bumping this one Mulder.
