Wedding carry

The wife and I got married about 9 1/2 years ago, which was before I really got into traditional pocket knives, so while I'm certain I had a knife on me that day, it wouldn't have been one that's appropriate for discussion in this subform. :)

I did recently attend a wedding in Texas, and I carried these two with me. The #13 Whittler was in my pocket, and I had stuck the #71 Bull Nose in the backpack/diaper bag we brought with us (I was glad that I did, too, because by the time I got food they had run out of both plastic forks and knives).

Thanks for those pictures, Horsewright. My mom's side of the family will probably be in a similar outfits. Pressed wranglers and a button up. Haha. Awesome that you carried a self-made knife to such a special occasion.

Congratulations on your immanent nuptials, Murdamook!!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
My wedding was over 35 years ago, and I carried NO knife, which was quite typical for me from about September 1969 until January 2014. For special "dress-up" occasions these days, now that I've developed a fairly serious pocket knife obsession, I'd carry a small but meaningful-to-me knife, most likely one that I received as a gift, probably one of these two:

I carried a couple new S&M knives, a red bone scout, and an english jack. Carried the scout daily until I lost it at a ballpark peeling and cutting fruit for kids....the jack is on display.

Not married yet, but had my Ulster scout knife in my pants pocket and my GEC 14 boys knife in antique yellow bone in my vest at my cousins wedding yesterday. The GEC was the only one made an appearance to cut up some nice prime rib that they of course only provided butter knives to cut with.

Congratulations on the weddding! On my wedding day I carried a non traditional knife because at that time I didn't have a traditional that I considered "nice enough" for the occasion. On my ensuing honeymoon, however, I carried a jr sodbuster because I wasn't worried about the airlines losing/stealing it.

Congrats!

15 years ago I was into moderns. I don't think I had any knife in my pocket, as most were too big. I also wouldn't have felt it was an appropriate venue to go around bragging about titanium and supersteel.

However, prior to my brother's wedding a few years ago, I bought my red GEC #89, Which makes a fairly good carry for such occasions.

Congratulations. Been married 7 years, together for 16-17. Probably had a Case wharnie mini-copperhead. Definitely had an Emerson A-100.
Thanks, Neal

I had this #72 in my pocket the day my wife and I said our vows (9-15-17). The knife is one of my absolute favorites and has been in my pocket for a long while now.

A belated congratulations!

Congrats to everyone who recently tied the knot. I'm currently on a mini-honeymoon(big one will be in April), but I carried my Northwoods Presidential in Ebony. My parents got it for me last year on my birthday.
