Wedding Traditional Knife

Congrats on your wedding!

I have no recommendation for what to carry, just wanted to say congrats.

I carried the first knife my wife ever bought me for Christmas back when she was just my girlfriend. She knew I loved yellow bone and hated China made knives so she bought me a very cool German made Boker stockman. I love that knife and carry it at least once a week. One of my cheaper knives but has so much sentimental value! :) Congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Congratulations RM, good luck with everything

I got married to my Lovely sue, one that day when I became the luckiest guy I carried a1960's Red Bone Case Barlow - gifted to me by Charlie- the knife that hails from the same era as myself - just a prized possession ( the knife not Sue :D ).

We had a lovely garden wedding - all of our friends - we arranged it so everyone bought a plate of food, it was low key in our back yard - but we did lots of special things like a big Marque Tent and flowers etc - out friends said it was the most relaxed loving Wedding they had been to!
Here is Sue cutting the Cake with a over 100 year Stag Handled knife that I use almost daily - its a fantastic knife.
The guy to the right of me is my friend for over 35 years Bob - what a lovely guy! He is very much more like a brother and a friend.

Aw Duncan, great to see those pics again :)

Being Scottish, PMEW had a custom Sgian Dubh made, I think it was a rather nice one :)

Hello All! This will be my first post after being a BF member for quite sometime. I generally just like to read and enjoy all of the wonderful information that abounds on this forum. I have been interested and have loved knives ever since I won a cheap Pakistani stockman at a carnival when I was 8. I am now 25 and getting married on October 3rd of this year! So my question really is: On y'all's wedding days/nights did you carry a special knife? And if so what was it? I am thinking of doing something like that for my wedding and just need a little help narrowing it down a little. Obviously, since this post is in the traditional folders and fixed blades it would need to be along those lines. Thanks guys and I can't wait to hear from y'all.

Nothing special, just a Spyderco Sage. It's my go-to dress knife, so I figured that's what I'd go with on the big day.

Also, congrats guys!

I think I carried a benchmade Pardue gentleman's knife, but don't remember for sure. Wife did buy me a spyderco pacific salt that she gave me as a present on the wedding day. She knows I like to salt water fish and we were heading to the keys for our honeymoon. Probably had that in my pocket too. If I were doing it again I would probably carry a GEC of some sort and it would likely be a good excuse to buy ivory.

Also, all my groomsmen got knives from me. Either stag copperlocks or shun chef knives, depending on which suited them more.

Congratulations! You are getting married on a Saturday, so might not have this opportunity...but I got married during the week so was able to get a knife that was assembled on our wedding day and signed! I carry it for special occasions:) I don't know if any of our favorite makes work on Saturday but maybe give them a call and ask, if you can find one it would be awesome:thumbup:

I was given a Buck 501 when I did the best man thing for a friend. It seemed like a cool gift to me.
Congrats on your wedding.

I have no idea what would be the right knife for such a great occasion, but Congrats to you both, and good luck!
