  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Wedging question for the experts!!!

Here's a couple.

I will say though, the time it took me to make sure the wedges were (using tight tolerances) the same size (length, width, angle, of the entire wedge), I could have made 3 large wedges!
Glue your walnut and maple stock together and then make one wedge?

I have always thought a two tone wedge would “look cool”

Nice contrast, Brian. Have you thought about a harder central wedge and two smaller ones either side?

You Fellers gave me an idea for premium wedges.

I hope no one takes offense at the above, including the company I am making fun of. Joking aside, I actually think a wedge made with contrasting wood would be very distinctive and a mark of pride in the tool it is made for.

That is a very good idea! Hopefully I will get the band saw I’m asking my wife to get me for xmas and I will try that! Not that I would need a bandsaw to do it but it will give me another excuse to use it!
