Wednesday Evening blems

Nice knife, Philllll. Better be careful because you know Bawanna cain't see well in his golden years and will be trying to "adopt" another puppy all of a sudden!!

Golden years means something entirely different to Bookie! We know where you've been!

Everybody wants a heavier Bonecutter, and no wonder, but you guys are totally missing the best handling / chopping knife here, and IMNSHO one of HI's best models period. Look at the specs: 16" and just under 2 lbs.? And look at the satin finish, so you know it will be sharp; check out the nice edge bevel/grind. Yangdu is listing it as having a minor handle blem, but that could be touched up in a second.

With the chiruwa handle it's unlike any of the 18" models I have, and will probably "balance" better as they all have standard full tangs.

I'm actually sorely tempted here for the first time in quite a while, as I've been going the other direction with my collection for the most part, only buying some retro sets and pieces privately here and there.

That Balance is a perfect user and an easy $145 knife as it sits, so why is it still sitting!? BTHOM! ...

I agree Svash, can't believe that balance is still there! I almost bought both!

I've chopped with two of the 18"ers, and would love to try this one in comparison. I imagine it would be slightly sharper out of the box as mine had a full polish, and would be less blade forward, so would feel a bit lighter overall in the hand, even though the weights are nearly the same (18's are 27, 28, 28, & 30 oz.)

Get yourself a lighter pack sheath like one of the Steve Tall Kami Fundraiser models and you'd be good to go anywhere. (Come to think of it I do have an extra one of those lying around waiting for the right knife. Hmm... :D)

I already sent Yangdu an email about the balance knife, and it's mine. I couldn't really afford it after getting the Tibetan long sword, but it was just too nice looking, and none of the other sharks had jumped on it, so I just had to... Not sure why she hasn't edited the post to reflect that it's sold...

Thank you for saving my wallet!

I think there is a way to setup your account so that a new posting to the forum sends a email to your account. Not sure, but I think something like that. And I would think that is what he meant by email notification of DotDs just any new posting in this forum.
