Weekend camping trip at my family ranch (Pics)

I used to live in Texas, and I miss it very much. I'm a Minnesota native, but I consider Texas my home all the same.

"I wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could."

Thanks for sharing!

My mother in law is a Minnesota native, we went for a family reunion last summer, I got to visit half the state. I would move up there in a second. I love Texas, but the summer is brutal... and summer last about 8 months.

Great thread. When I saw all the guns in the back of the truck I thought 'that would be the perfect time to get attacked by zombies or terrorists'. Would've been over before they knew it haha.

Man that brings back memories. We used to do a lot of camping with family and friends. Now, not so much. So busy with the everyday grind that we forget to make time to be with each other and doing the things we love.
Great pics man!

Agreed. But given how cold it is, I'm ready for some heat.

Lived in texas a few years a while back, my daughter was born there. I miss it also. great place.

700 acres? no one would ever see me again..... ever.

Glad you had a great time. Thanks for the pics!! I have relatives in Texas. My Dad and Uncle are buried there. I've hunted for deer and duck there. Broke down in a rental van loaded with all my worldly possessions about 1 mile outside Quanah, TX and was stuck in town for 4 days. I've driven the expansive West TX route about 5 times coming from and going to the west coast. Damn, I love TX!!

Good times!!!

Great post and thanks for bringing us along. Makes me really want to get out into the woods but it's still too damn cold here. Nice 9 too, long live the king.

Thanks for sharing, reminded me that I need to get outside more. Did I see a Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III .303" calibre Rifle lurking in the bed of the truck? My favourite type of rifle and wish I had a place to fire mine more LOL

I looked up the marks on the .303 and the best I can tell it is a WWI era Australian Lee-Enfield. Very nice shooter, trigger is really nice. I shoots really well for being 100 years old :)
