Weekend deals for 4/10 -- Pix Tarwar, Crow Knife and Great Buys

Isn't anyone picking up the beastly Tarwar, or the elegant, but deadly, Crow knife?

I would love to pick up a crow knife but the handle looks too large for my size 7 hands. Now if they ever make a 15 inch one with appropriate size handle it would come home with me!

Or even better a Baby Crow that's 12 inches with a 4 and 1/4 inch handle and I'll take a couple of them !

Nicely done kamano! I have a WWII by Kumar at the exact same specs and it goes with me practically everywhere.
It's an incredibly handy size. You will love it!

Thanks Rose&Thorn - I also have a villager by Kumar with the same length and weight that will ship along with this one - will be interesting to see how they compare.

That Dui chirra Might be one of the Most practical Choppers i have seen to date. I am inclined to say that the curve, Length and weight would make it an insane Fighter and yet retain the Practicality of a tool that could be carried and not be "lugged around".. If i did not have an M43 which is a Full pound heavier I would buy this in a second... I Want a knife like the Lucky guy who bought the above ww2 got. If he doesnt find it near perfect in all respects then shame on him, RFOL...

Truth to tell, I got some really small hands, and not muscular to say the least; however, my full size Crow Knife is so neutral in hand, that it feels like it isn't even there, and the handle fits perfectly. Try it, I'm sure you'll love it!

Just a little mindful after the few 17 and 18 inch models that have I got so far - all of them have slightly longer handles than I would really like, so for now sticking to Karda's advise about optimal user height to knife length that I read in one of the threads

This lucky guy will most probably love this WWII to death like his other 15 inch AK and Chainpure and Baby Cobra and the soon to arrive villager!
If in some insane parallel universe he does not find it perfect he now knows who to pass it on to!😊

Oh noooooo! That Chainpure!

Gonna stay away for a week from the forum. You know, sobbing, eating icecream, watchin Opr...listening to Opera music!

If you're taking it that hard, might I suggest Vesti La Giubba from Pagliacci? Just please don't stab me to death at the end just because I stole your love away from you.

EMS on the 17.5 inch 23 ounce Dui chirra by Purna.

I'm a day late but only one person commented on this blade so maybe it has gone unnoticed among the other treasures. We'll see if I get the Done Deal or the Long Gone.

Good luck, that looks to be the lightest Purna Dui Chirra. I have a Yek and Dui by him and they are both around 30oz. The one you are trying to get is Thamar style weight... Please let me know how it feels.

Haha, you enjoy it, man!

Oh your right gb. That is the lightest Purna ive seen as well. The lightest of the Thamars are 21-23oz. This one has plenty of drop to it as well. It will be interesting to know how it feels. I suspect that lanyard hole would be quite useful. I think id put a nail up on the front door for that one. Shiva has an AKB instead of a sword on this one:D

I think that Dui Chirra might not be the "deal of the day".. In all Honesty that might be the very best deal i have seen in the year and a half I have been "stalking" this Forum. I say this a little out of Jealousy in the most Humble way I can, LOL... You Have GOT to let me know how it feels and the chopping power and carry ability. I would trade My beautiful, Heavy m43 for that In a second, even though I love my "monster:... Davidf99 you did VERY good in my Opinion! Congrats !

I haven't got it yet. Must wait until Yangdu checks her email and responds.

The light weight was a selling point for me. The Sword of Shiva is similar to the kind that I've seen on the Hanshe model. I prefer it to the fancier engraved ones that are done on many HI models.

My Chainpure arrived about half an hour ago, and I'm in love. It rapidly turned its triangle box into confetti with great aplomb, and I love how it is light and quick yet packs a punch and is very lively. It does whatever I tell it to do, and contrary to the impression that kukris are long range only because they take distance and velocity to do what they do, this one works at all ranges. The blade is quite sharp, and the bevels shallow. The only thing I don't love is the handle. It is a little bit shorter than I would consider ideal, but I love this kukri, even with that minor quibble.

Did that Tarwar or Crow knife ever get a home?

Damn...if I just had the extra cash laying around, I'd get both in a heartbeat!
