I'm officially in love with that Fogg camp knife. I had a similar - but smaller - piece from Don a couple years back and regret letting it go.

ditto!

That Walker is off the hook!

Ah, Dave, that Michael Walker of yours is amazing.
And grrrrr... I had a great spot for it in a section on
Michael in my new book. It is so different and so perfect...
Just what I needed.
But now it is too late... :(

Thanks Steven for showing these amazing pieces of Dave's...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

The Walker is nice to look at.$ :)

I love the Brut de Fogg !

Thanks STeven & Dave !!

Those are ALL exceptional, and about as different as three knives could be.

Thanks for posting them. It has been a while since Dave graced us with some eye candy.

Beautiful knives. Never seen a (photo of a) Levin folder that wasn't completely astounding.

STeven, what the heck are you doing up so early in the morning? Cats need feeding?

I want to say that Jack Levine knife is incredible.......but they all are incredible~!!!!!!!!!!:)

I get up at 5:00 am to be at work at 7:00 am, and yes, cat feeding is part of the morning rites.:)

Amazing pieces.

I can't get over that Fogg piece though.. At first glance it pretends to be a rough and rugged piece but shows how controlled and elegant it really is.
In it's own way it appears no less refined and thought out than either of the other two pieces.

As a collector of Don's work, and a student who has learned great things from him.....I prefer the "fully" finished pieces to the knives showing a "duality"....but recognize that tastes are quite different, and there are many who find this appealing.

They're all nice but the Fogg works best for me. I have the matching Bowie, would make a great pair.
