Weekend Plans?

With the holiday weekend coming up, do you have any special plans? My wife, two oldest daughters, and the grandkids are going to my inlaws for the weekend, so I`m going to be playing batchelor. On Friday, my youngest daughter and I are going to have an "Ali and Dad" day. We are going out for the day, and having dinner out that night. Her schedule has her off on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, Noshtero is coming over to learn a little about knifemaking. On Sunday, my daughter and I are going to breakfast before she has to go to work.
 
I've planned a simple overnight backpacking trip to Mt Greylock in MA. Just getting the cobwebs out of the gear......
 
Going to get in a dayhike on Saturday (maybe even with my new Stomper knife if it arrives by then :) ) Then Sunday will have to be spent with the wifes side of the family. Not my favorite, but I guess I can tolerate it a couple times a year.
 
Hanging with the family and probably eating a lot of ham.

It's not that I don't love my wife and son (the extended family is another story...) but I'd LOOOOOOVE to have a bachelor weekend. Not necessarily filled with dollar bills and G-strings and crushing hangovers (the first two would be fun), but just to hang out and relax by myself. With a 2 year old, there's not a lot of private time to be had.
 
Not too much. Just working all weekend (I'm in retail sales so weekends are big sales days). Hey, this is my 3000 post!

On Saturday I plan on beating on...errr gentley using... a mini-Nessmuck I just bought. I'll see if it will make a good back-up to a Hiker someone is making for me in the near future.:)

It will even be my Easter carry knife.:)

I think you will find that mini Nessmuck will become your new EDC. ;)
 
We have two summer trips planned so my wife is trying to save her PTO for those. We have a week reserved at the Fishing camp at Roy Lake SD in late May and a family Reunion in NE around the fourth of July. This one will be in the Sand hills on a ranch. Wife's side of the family. I hope to spend a week on my land in SD this summer building a elevated shooting stand with a small cabin under it.

My wife has a three day weekend, every other week end so we have quite a bit of slack time. All of my time is slack time.:) I will be out in the woods and shelter belts every day as soon as it warms up and the snow is gone. Right now there is either a couple feet of snow or a couple feet of mud and shush everywhere. The wife does have Friday Saturday Sunday off.But we went down to see the Kids two weeks ago.

I'm working all weekend, though I will be home by 3pm on Sunday so I will probably make it in time for dinner with the family.
 
I'll be working as usual. Hopefully I'll also be making money. It has been scarce.
Enjoy the time with your daughter. I really miss mine.
 
hopefully a little roaming in one of the state parks(with Ewok by my side), otherwise I have to change my oil.
 
After my usual day-off routine of plaqying with the puppies, we plan on heading over to my parent's house for dinner. Watch a horror movie with my brother and his kids (Phantasm, most likely), then home.
I gotta clean my .45 and AR, so that'll probably be Sunday night.
 
Going to my in-laws for the weekend. My mother-in-law passed away last month, so this is the first holiday without her. My wife is not looking forward to it at all, but we will get through. Church on Sunday will help, along with the message of Easter is especially important to her at this time.

For fun, I'm bringing a bunch of guns and knives and heading to my father-in law's farm!
