Weekend trip pics

J - Great pics! Looks like a great time. on the Fiddleback, mine is getting a lot of belt time, there is something about them that just seems user friendly!

You are so right on man. It fits like a glove. I am looking forward to owning some more of his knives... I felt it was all I needed on this trip. Siguys little knife did great to. I built some figure four traps with it too, right before we left, they wernt that great so no pics of them. The little knife notched good though....

Hey Jake,
Thanks for stopping by and having lunch! I enjoyed it! The pics are great, looks like you had a great time. Hope to see you again before long, come on down and we'll make a knife. Maybe we could plan a camping trip this fall for forum members in the area....

Great pictures, thanks for sharing.

In the picture below, there is a Micro Pelican case. I'm thinking about getting one for my digital camera. Your thoughts?

And I see you have the fire problem cornered: fire steel, fat wood, match case, prepackaged commercial tinder.......................... (the Camels, of course :D)

I have a 1040 that has gotten a lot of use, and worked great up until now. We went to Hawaii a month ago, and I use it on the beach to hold wallet and car keys. If we snorkel or scuba, it goes on my wrist. This time, I opened it and found several drops of water inside of it, and didn't dive any deeper than 8 or 10 ft. Other than that, it's been great.

You might need a new seal. I have 2 Pelican boxes, 20+ years old, but with the small size of my digital camera, I would really like something more appropriately sized.

Yeah, it might be a little big for your use, but they are very well constructed. I'll check on the seal, thanks!

Hey Bro, awesome looking trip! What did you cook besides the tasty shrimp kabobs? And that Fiddleback nessie is SWEET! He is an amazing maker...

Doc- they are very well made cases, a little on the heavy side, but very waterproof. As far as the firestuff, you missed the firepiston;) I have all ends covered there...

Rocky- we BBQ pretty much all weekend. It was tuna packets for the trail, then steaks and pork chops. Did biscuits and grilled ham for breakfast.:D

Tony- I was an idiot, and didnt get my license for AR, and when we got down there the closest place to get one was 100 miles away! wasnt really wantin to drive that far. Still was a great weekend though. I will remember next time!

Charlieridge- that would be awesome. I learned quite a bit bout the knifemaking process just from talkin to you. Now I just need some steel time! I will nail down a date to come down again. I agree on the camping trip thing too!
