hello all..
1st & foremost, i used to poo-pooh sebenzas before handling one a couple days ago, after which i fully agree that their flawless fit, finish, & sheer perfection of design is as good & often times better than many customs. back when i had only seen pictures, i thought they were too plain-looking for my taste (i'm kind of a tactical head), but handling the knife in the flesh revealed a very solid, elegant simplicity in which i immediately saw the much-fabled beauty.
now, my question is this.. is the optional swedge a standardized "length"? in other words, is the length of the swedge set in stone (um, steel, hehe)? the reason i ask this is because i recently handled a special edition wood inlay large seb that had a swedge, but it seemed to begin at the midpoint of the spine. the length of the swedge looked shorter than the swedge in the following pics, which i really like because it seems to originate closer to the base of the spine & impart a more sweeping, fluid line - observe:

and

so to reiterate, i'm wondering if the length of the swedge can be fudged over when ordering, or if it is fixed/standardized.
thanks in advance
