Hey Kev, welcome back bro. How did it go? I'm really interested in hearing some reviews.

Thanks for doing a little housecleaning :)

The trip was great. We had double negative digits the first night and between a -5 to 5 degree night the second night. Big John, a.k.a. Tallquietman coined the phrase, "Zombies don't paint" and "turn their head around so the last thing they see is their own a%#" You'd have to be there to understand! We had 6 winter camping virgins that all had a great time. Jerry, Hayseedw45, was the camp cook again and made us all drool over his menu. My diminutive GB Small Forest Axe was pressed into service to split wood and all of us were blown away by the performance as it made its way through 12" plus rounds of wood. We took a couple of hikes to the Chateaugay River and to the Canadian Border and heard two over the top coyote kills in the night. Blades in the group included Bark Rivers, Fehrmans, a couple of Koster's, a SWC, a few Gossmans and a lone Busse. I packed everything out in my Kifaru Zulu and despite having a 65 lb ruck, I moved quickly through the woods. All gear functioned flawlessly except for my Filson merino wool gloves that came undone at the fingers this morning.

Pics will come shortly but thank you for the welcome back and the interest in the trip. Come next time! We had about 16 or 18 show and we would welcome more.

I plan on getting up there at some point. I'm really looking into making it up to WAR.

I ended up near the Poconos this past weekend and saw some single digit negative numbers. Double digit negatives is a different story.

Can't wait to see the pics.

Welcome back Kev. Looks like you guys had a great winter trip with the snow and cold temps.
