As everyone knows by now, Rusty will be home shortly and back at the moderating job while simultaneously trying to scratch the many itches in his cast and elsewhere...

Hope your leg heals fast and doesn't itch too bad!

BTW, I think the New England Journal of Medicine said that the best thing for healing broken bones is 6 Heinekens/day everyday until cast comes off...

Rusty, you may recall I suffered a compound fracture of my left leg last year (motorcycle accident). I had to go from a wheelchair, to a walker, to crutches, to a cane, and now it's fully functional.
I have even been able to ride a motorcycle again. (My friends now know I am crazy.)

The moral is...even us "older fellows" can heal up given a little time and tlc.

All the best for a speedy recovery, my friend.

Rusty:
If you do have to spend some time in the "rehab ricksha", take advantage of it. Practice driving the wheels by gripping the drive rim with your thumb and first two fingers instead of pushing with your palms. Just a couple of weeks of this and you can crack walnuts with that grip. Steadies up your shooting grip to an unbelievable degree, and puts a whole new light on pinching nurses
