Look for the return of Hit Girl! The Haus Tambaran pic is just too obscure....
 
12 accounts on 11 pages with 1 post each created in October. 1 account with 2 posts, both on XM giveaway pages. Wonder what Rob is thinking about these.... double accounts?

I do agree with the issue of double accounts (secondary or shill) if that indeed is happening, the winner should be vetted to see if they are participating in that type of situation and if caught, both/all accounts should be banned from BF, their ISP banned and a new winner should be redrawn. Crap like this makes a nice gesture more cumbersome than it should be. If someone signs up with BF legitimately and their first post is to participate in this amazing lotto and they go on to be a solid member in good standing of BF (and they don't have two accounts), great, glad to have you.

Actually, I joined last week on October 4th, prior to the announcement of the lottery to buy a Hinderer knife. I have been collecting knives for more than 30 years - I don't have a large collection, but it is quite varied. I had been looking to buy a Hinderer knife for some time (missed a couple on the forum recently) and happened to see this contest yesterday and joined in. If that makes me an "abuser" of the forum, then I apologize for the misstep. I do plan on hanging out on the forum and participating - although I am more of a listener than a talker in general. I have only one log-in (malakka).
 
The simple solution is to just state that only members who joined BF before the lottery post started will be part of the drawing. That way even someone who joined a day before the lottery can still be eligible. Not everyone likes to post comments... maybe they just like to learn.... Anyway, I hope someone honest wins!

It could also be people making multiple accounts to increase their chances at winning.

I missed my chance again at the plaza knife show because I had work, so I'm also grateful that Rick and Rob is doing this. I am absolutely in love with the dlc flipper version. I usually don't have very good luck with these kind of things though (that's why I never gamble), so we'll see. :p

I agree with that idea. As much as I'd like to see anyone win, it would be nice to see a contributor win...except maybe those of you who already have enough Hinderers to have a lottery of your own. ;) :D

I would hope for the forum standard of 100 post or 1 year, to be eligible to win.

Man I really hope that this become the usual. Get the knifes in the hands of the civilian knife nuts for there correct price.

All I know is I hope I win one.
 
I've learned a lot from reading the forums. The Hinderer photo thread is one of my favorite threads on here.

My single XM18 is lonely, and wants to settle down with another XM18, preferably with a Spanto edge.
 
I have no issue with honest people who actually want the knife for themselves. I'm not a fan of those wanting to win it just to flip it with hopes of a profit, but that is "tolerable" since once an item is yours....it's your call what you do with it.

My only issue is with dishonest people opening multiple accounts or using other deceptive processes to better their odds.

If one was motivated by this lotto to join the forum and choose to stick around and contribute / join in, that's very cool, I welcome these folks to BF.
