Hi everyone,
First..please forgive me for the absolute crap photo's..we have had real bad weather here...and I rushed out to try and make use of the such little light I had....BUT...

Here are my two latest, they took their time after leaving Dwights house...Christmas holidays took care of the slow trip..and yesterday they finally arrived home, I was fretting quite a bit, and tried to forget about them :o

Here is another John Primble...I just dont know why we dont see more of these on the forum here? a noted Hardware brand of U.S.A, and they stand side by side holding their own to some of the top production names that I know of.
Please..if you know more about these knives, please let me know what you can :)
Ok...here is the Primble half congress...I hope when I am describing what I see in the knife doesnt amount to raving on.
What I first thought was bone...is delrin, and is some of the most stunning examples of Delrin that I at least have seen, the shield, those Bolsters-man EVERYTHING about this knife is just so ...so... just so darn great!!
I couldnt take a photo of it, as I was very rushed, and my attempt failed...but there is very fine milling along the brass liners along the inside against the spring, the snap is up there with the best of them...this is ( as with my other Primble ) a very fine knife..I really hope you like it too...man this is just simply a lovely knife!
The fit and finish is just way up there!

And now, my fantastic little schrade Walden, when I saw this..I KNEW, I just KNEW I had to have these two - or I would be forever kicking myself, I missed out on a very nice Scharde Walden a short while ago, Now the jigging on this knife is so beautifully done-in a toatlly different manner to the Primble..this Shrade is so finely done, and so beautifull...the bone is awesome, as is everything about this knife...a very tidy knife-borders close to mint-has a few tiny marks...but so small, a very genuine, original knife...the fit and finish is just fantastic :D

Thanks to Dwight, and I hope you enjoy looking at them.
Duncan.

Those are a couple nice ones Duncan. I've never seen a Primble in that pattern before... The coloring of the Delrin, reminds me of the older Schrade Walden scales

The old Schrade is a real beauty  Very nice Peachseed scales.
I would love to have that one in pocket any day of the week. Thats one of those knives that I could see taking out a lot, just to fondle and admire :D

two goodies duncan, i've noticed primbles are hard to find here in texas.i really get excited when i get to see one marked "john primble-india steel works".you did well getting your hands on these.--dennis

Duncan, you really struck gold with these knives. Both are very nice. You are really lucky to be able to own such knives especially considering how much trouble you have acquiring good American made knives. I am proud of your accomplishments, and good taste. Saving the cocoon that became a beautiful butterfly was a good deed also.

Thanks Harold, yeah, its actually very hard for us to get good knives...

A, We dont have the depth here in New Zealand - as you do in the States...so therefore the better knives are far and few between.....

B, when we pay-WE PAY!! because of the strength of the U.S.A greenback compared to our weak Dollar( it isnt toooo bad right now ), and on top...the shipping, and Pay Pals currency exchange...so you add all that up, and what may seem an ordinary price to the lucky "average" American lad, is an expensive little item to the Kiwi lad :(

These are the Monarch butterfly-for such a delicate wee creature...they travel such vast milage, and get battered to hang and back-and the gold that they display on their Crysalis is just mind blowing...Ok..back to knives..... I carried the Schrade today...just couldnt leave it alone...sort-a reminded me of when I was around 12 :D

I'm glad to hear you carried the old Schrade today Duncan.
There is no way, you could have a bad day, with that one in pocket :D

I really like that John Primble. That delrin is better looking than a lot of bone! The large sheep's foot is also neat.

Awesome knives my friend..I love the Walden, and the butterlies!...stay hard man!...FES

:D Oh man..I know, it just doesnt look good for hard man look does it! I would never have actually publicaly said anything about butterflies once upon a time

Thanks Mike!..it was a great day!

Kozak6, yeah...thats large sheepsfoot is pretty cool isnt it?..just a little different! very nice

Duncan, is there a pattern # on the Schrade-Walden ? I'd like to see a pic of it with blades open and know the closed length.

Three great scores, Duncan!! Two super Knives, and a great Butterfly!
Caring for God's critters is indeed a manly thing!!

Hey there Chuck!-how are you going there?....and thank you.
thank you to Charlie...actually right now...i have to take a couple more out side-as they are now ready to hatch as well...it really is a cool thing to watch these stunning gentle things break out, and dry their wings...then they are off flying for the first time - very rewarding ( especially when you have guarded them from birds, wasps etc since they were little eggs )
