Welcome to Moose the Moderator -- Long Live the Moose

We call moose swamp donkeys up here buddy. Actualy my father has shot a fair number back in the day (30-06), and one with a bow in 66 I believe. I remember him pulling into the yard with a 60 or 61 Impala ?, can hardly remember. Anyway, it was powder blue and had the big wide wings out on each side off the trunk. This made for a perfect tunnel for the head of the moose to hang down into, along with a stream of dried blood. It made quite an impression on all the local kids. Particularly when the old man had it hanging from a tree.

Really? Here its a derogatory term, used in haste when tempers flair. I took no offense to it, I just thought it was funny. :D

Shoot a moose? :eek::eek::confused::confused::(:(:):)

They do taste good.

In the spirit of moderator a$$ kissing, a long-held tradition here at BFC, I want to congratulate Moose on his new red mantle.
May he rule with wisdom and moderation. And may he excuse all the infractionable offenses I commit from this point forward. :D
Congrats, my man.

Red mantled mooses are very rare. We are lucky to have our very own!

I have to admit that was some nice butt kissing. :D

i think i'm going to need an offering or five for this mortal insult ;)

that's okay, he wasn't planning on entering any contests for a while :)

and yar, Moose got his red wings going on :>

Heck, I thought he already was a mod. Well I better say congrats so I don't get an infraction.

:D ok, lost it on that one, thanks a ton. Canadiennes, they are still called gravy fries:D

No actually I don't think they were ever called that here.

It's called poutine.

It originated in Quebec, Canada that whole province is weird. If they just order plane fries, the frenchys like to dip them in Mayonnaise.:barf::barf: I never could develop a taste for that.

Now what was this abou...Oh yea congrats moose...Who ever you are. (I'm still an FNG)

BTW it's spelled Canadians, not Canadiennes. Unless I'm missing something?

Ok Ok I'll go now

Sweetness, guys. Now where are those virgins and Beckers I asked for? Bring some for Bladite and DB as well. Ethan's on his own.:D

Moose

Well hell.. if no one is going to start it off, I might as well help you out there!

I suppose this is killing two stones with one bird, BFC style, eh?

BTW, congrats Bullwinkle J.... er Moose! :D

Thanks for the headsup, I already knew about both the poutine and the spelling, it was meant to rib someone on both accounts.:D

Welcome to the Becker forum, and Bladeforums, we are glad you're here. Stick around, it only gets better.

Yes on both, and a super yes on the first. Oh ya, I'm supposed to be nice here. Wow, this is tough. :p

Another FNG checking in with congrats on the assignment. A little recognition for a bunch of good intel. Well done.

Gravy fries...poutine...whatever you call it, my arteries LOVE it! You could spread gravy on a tire and I would eat it!
